School-Age Student Readiness Policy

Effective immediately: All school-age students must come to the center with their laptops/tablets fully charged daily. This policy stands regardless of if the child has virtual learning or not for the day. Every student that attends Family First Childcare Center will be considered in school from the hours of 8 AM - 3 PM (Monday - Friday). Therefore, we expect every child to be in class or working on assignments during those hours. This policy also stands for those that have in-school learning for half a day and then comes to the center before the 3 PM hour. We will be issuing zero-tolerance suspensions for those that fail to adhere to this policy. We will also issue longer suspensions for repeat offenders.  If you have any issues with this policy, please contact Family First and ask for Jason Clark the administrator.

Student Cell Phone Policy

Effective immediately: No student will be allowed to bring phones to the center. If they do, administrators and teachers will collect them for the day. Phones will be returned to the student when they leave the center. This policy is being implemented to ensure that our students are being productive and staying on task throughout the day. To all parents and guardians: Should you need to contact your child, please call Family First Childcare Center at 216.202.1511. If you have any issues with this policy, please contact Family First and ask for Jason Clark the administrator.

Lobby Policy

Effective immediately: Only staff and children are allowed past the lobby area, this also includes the second floor. If a situation occurs and you need to go beyond the lobby, a staff member must accompany you the whole time. We must know at all times whom we have in the building and where. If you have any issues with this policy, please contact Family First and ask for Jason Clark the administrator.

Infant and Toddler updates

We are asking all parents to double-check daily and make sure your child has all the needed belongings to make it through the day.

Pre-School updates

We are asking all parents to double-check daily and make sure your child has a change of fresh clothes and blanket for nap time. Also we encourage parents to have something for your child to present every Friday for "show and tell".

Final Thoughts

Now that Spring Time is here, outside play is happening more frequently. So make sure your child is equipped with the correct footwear. Please know that only those with tennis shoes will be allowed to play outside. Those with sandals and flip-flops will have to sit during outside play.
